Summer is arguably one of the hardest seasons to stay on track for anyone, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pick up where you might’ve left off.
With that being said, we want to give you a few tips that will help get you back into crushing your fitness goals.
1. Set Attainable Goals for Yourself
Setting a specific and attainable goal gives you something to really focus on. Instead of just “losing weight” as your goal, saying “gain __ lbs of muscle and lose ___ % of fat by ___” is a much more efficient way to focus on those goals.
2. Follow a Meal Plan That Works for You
Something that can make dieting and seeing results almost impossible is not following something sustainable for you ... Your diet can be foods you enjoy, it doesn’t have to be boring!
Make sure you’re focusing on adequate amounts of protein, water, and calories to help you reach your goals.
If you have no idea where to start when it comes to this… stop into any of your local Supplement Superstores and they will get you set up with a plan that works for you, your schedule, and full of food you actually enjoy.
3. Move Your Body in Ways You Enjoy
With so many different types of workouts out there, you can most definitely find ones you enjoy doing and will stick to. When you do a routine that you don’t enjoy, it makes it that much harder to get it done.
4. Make Sure You’re Recovering
Sleep, off days, and proper recovery is huge when it comes to seeing progress.
Ideally 7-9 hours of sleep is what you need to make sure your body is resting and recovering properly.
Sleep helps with controlling appetite, building a stronger immune system, improve mood and energy throughout the day ... along with so much more!
5. Supplement Where You Need To
Supplements are made to fill the gaps we miss out on in our diet. That can be protein, vitamins, phytonutrients, creatine, ANYTHING.
We like to think we get everything we need from our diet alone ... but there’s a lot more to it than we think.
6. Make Changes at Your Pace
We know it can get overwhelming starting over on a journey like this … and doing too many things at once tends to make it even more complicated.
So focus on making a few simple changes at a time. That can be increasing steps and movement, focusing on more protein and water during the day, and taking it one day at a time to build the momentum you need.
As always, if you need some extra help with ANYTHING health & fitness related ... just stop into your nearest S2 location!
