Q) What are you training for right now?
A) The Christian Guzman Transformation show in July 2026
Q) What's pushed you or motivated you to tackle this journey? Why are you doing this?
A) "I want to show the everyday person that no matter how low you might feel ... there's always hope, community, and support to crush your health and fitness goals. After losing 110 lbs and trying all sorts of competitions and training styles, I kept proving to myself that anything is possible. You can push through the mental strain at any age, weight, or despite any of life's roadblocks."
Q) How do you stay consistent with your routine when life gets busy or when situations are less than ideal? How do you deal with the struggles that come with this journey?
A) "If I skip, I'm letting myself and everyone who believes in me down. I've always been someone who does what I say I'll do ... so even on the hardest, most mentally taxing days, I show up and give 100% of what I have left. I get through struggles with support from my team, leaders, peers, and especially my fiancée, Halei."
Q) What does "living the standard" mean to you personally?
A) "To me, 'living the standard' means never giving up, no matter how hard life gets. It’s doing what I know needs to be done no matter how I feel and pushing myself even on the hardest days ... so I can hold my head high and prove to myself that I can do those hard things."
Q) How has being a part of the S2 Faction influenced your routine & current goals?
A) "S2 has fueled my mindset to always do better. As a manager, I want to be the best example in my store and community ... so my team can look up to me and aspire to be like me. It's helped me grow in ways I never imagined, through constant positive reinforcement and learning from the leadership around me. I have to show up for the people, everyday."
Q) What's your biggest win so far on this journey?
A) "My biggest win is staying consistent with my weight loss while learning to enjoy food and live life, without losing focus on my goals. Most people yo-yo with fitness, but my motivation and support keeps me from failing or rebounding with weight gain."
Q) What's one piece of no-nonsense advice you would give someone looking to embark on this same journey?
A) "It's on you, just don't give up. Do whatever it takes to hit your goals ... but also enjoy the process of getting better every day. No matter who you are or what situation you're in, if you can stay focused and consistent ... you can & will hit your goals."
Q) What are you training for right now?
A) "Right now, I'm training for overall bodybuilding progression ... focusing on muscle density, symmetry, and conditioning while bringing up my weak points."
Q) What’s pushed you or motivated you to tackle this journey? Why are you doing this?
A) "Bodybuilding gives me structure, purpose, and accountability. I'm driven by the challenge of discovering what I'm truly capable of when I fully commit. It's not just physical ... it's about discipline, self-respect, and holding myself to a higher standard every day."
Q) How do you stay consistent with your routine when life gets busy or situations are less than ideal? How do you deal with the struggles that come with this journey?
A) "Consistency comes from standards, not motivation. I treat training and nutrition as non-negotiable. When life gets busy, I simplify, control what I can, and still show up. Progress is made on the hard days, not the perfect ones."
Q) What current supplements are you using to help you stay on track?
A) "I keep supplements simple and effective. Quality protein powder, creatine, recovery support, micronutrients, and hydration products ... all used to boost performance and consistency. They support the work, they don't replace it."
Q) What does living the standard mean to you personally?
A) "Living the standard means holding myself accountable when no one's watching. It's showing up with intention every day and owning my actions ... in the gym, with my nutrition, and in life."
Q) How has being a part of the S2 Faction influenced your routine and current goals?
A) "The S2 Faction has reinforced my discipline, education, and execution. The community's high standards and push for consistency keep me focused and driving toward bigger goals."
Q) What’s your biggest win so far on this journey?
A) "My biggest win is consistency over time. Showing up physically and mentally day after day has built real confidence, discipline, and lasting progress."
Q) What’s one piece of no nonsense advice you would give someone looking to embark on this same journey?
A) "Stop overcomplicating it. Train hard, eat with purpose, prioritize recovery, and outlast everyone on consistency. Results always follow the work."
Q) What are you training for right now?
A) "Right now, I'm training for both Hyrox races and marathons. I'm competing in my second Hyrox at the end of March in Houston, followed by the STL Go Marathon in early April. My big-picture goal, something I've been working toward for over two years, is qualifying for Boston by 2028. On top of that, I'm pushing to get into the best physical shape of my life."
Q) What’s pushed you or motivated you to tackle this journey? Why are you doing this?
A) "I was bored, inconsistent, and just going through the motions with my training. Three years ago, a last-minute marathon challenge reignited my fire ... it was tough, but I loved it. Now, I train this way because I crave the mental suffering and challenge. The process and progression keeps me hooked."
Q) How do you stay consistent with your routine when life gets busy or when situations are less than ideal? How do you deal with the struggles that come with this journey?
A) "Consistency comes down to the daily conversations I have with myself and planning my days one at a time. When I don't feel like training, I tell myself: 'If you don't do this, someone else will.' It reminds me that out there right now, someone is willing to put in the work I'm trying to skip. That fires me up and helps me stay consistent".
Q) What does "living the standard" mean to you personally?
A) "To me, 'living the standard' means setting an example I'd want to follow ... one that betters everyone around me. I always tell my team and customers: I'll never ask you to do something I'm not already doing or willing to do. I hold myself to that every day, all the time ... not just sometimes or when people are watching."
Q) How has being a part of the S2 Faction influenced your routine & current goals?
A) "S2 Faction has shaped my routine and goals through our core values at Supplement Superstores. We're encouraged to live by them in both work and personal life, building a rock-solid foundation. The S2 Community pushes me to hold higher standards, challenges me, calls me out when needed, and always give me the truth ... not just what I want to hear."
Q) What’s your biggest win so far on this journey?
A) "My biggest win, without a doubt, is becoming a father at the end of this year. But after 5 marathons, 20+ half marathons, and my first Hyrox ... the real victory is staying committed through the stress, the injuries, and whatever else life throws at me. I never quit ... I just take it one day at a time, give my best, and grow from it."
Q) What’s one piece of no-nonsense advice you would give someone looking to embark on this same journey?
A) "Be brutally honest with yourself or you'll never hit your potential. You can't be following your plan 70% of the time and expect big results. I used to lie: 'I'm running a lot, so I can eat anything.' Garbage in = garbage results ... same with bad sleep and spotty supplements. Fix it, stay consistent, and results explode. It's 100% on you and your choices."
Q) What are you training for right now?
A) "I'm training to stay healthy and keep up with my kids. I recently completed my first Hyrox race, so my focus is mostly on Hyrox-style workouts, so I can stay ready to compete again when the time comes."
Q) What’s pushed you or motivated you to tackle this journey? Why are you doing this?
A) "I'm pushed by my kids. Even in this busy phase of life, pushing myself outside my comfort zone through training shows them hard work and discipline in action. I want them to see that they're capable of doing hard things too."
Q) How do you stay consistent with your routine when life gets busy or when situations are less than ideal? How do you deal with the struggles that come with this journey?
A) "When life gets chaotic and things are out of my control, I focus on what I can control. No gym? I run or do bodyweight circuits ... just move my body somehow. Can't meal prep? I prioritize higher-protein meals or snacks. I just try my best to control what I can control".
Q) What does "living the standard" mean to you personally?
A) "To me, 'living the standard' means showing up for myself and my family ... even when I'm tired, when it's hard, when it's inconvenient, or when it doesn't look perfect. It's being intentional every day so I can be the best wife, mom, employee, and friend that I can be."
Q) How has being a part of the S2 Faction influenced your routine & current goals?
A) "The S2 Faction taught me how to have a healthier relationship with food and my body ... seeing food as fuel and appreciating all my body does for me. As well as being around people with high standards who push to improve every day, which inspires me to do the same."
Q) What’s your biggest win so far on this journey?
A) "My biggest win is realizing that fitness looks different in different life phases ... and that's okay. Pre-kids, I spent longer in the gym; now I do shorter, higher-intensity workouts. The goal stays the same, just the approach changes. I'm actually stronger now than before kids because of that shift in intensity and mindset".
Q) What’s one piece of no-nonsense advice you would give someone looking to embark on this same journey?
A) "Being a parent is hard ... being a parent who neglects themselves is even harder. Working out and taking care of your health isn't selfish. You're doing your kids a huge favor by showing up as the best version of you."
Q) What are you training for right now?
A) "I'm done training for competitions. Now I train to feel better, set a strong example for my kids, and extend my health-span ... so that one day I can roughhouse with my grandkids."
Q) What's pushed you or motivated you to tackle this journey? Why are you doing this?
A) "I love knowing I can jump into any physical activity anytime and hold my own ... whether it's a 5K, a CrossFit workout, or just a bro sesh at the gym."
Q) How do you stay consistent with your routine when life gets busy or when situations are less than ideal? How do you deal with the struggles that come with this journey?
A) I'm not always consistent ... but I make the best of what I can. Travel, kids' activities ... it's hard. Eating right and working out consistently? Really hard. I used to roll my eyes at that excuse, but now I get it 100%. If you don't build habits before kids, it's even tougher after. Kids consume your life (in the best way), taking all your free time. So you have to schedule ruthlessly and stick to it."
Q) What current supplements are you using to help you stay on track?
A) "With my busy schedule, I use supplements mainly to fill nutritional gaps ... micronutrients and protein. As I've gotten older, recovery is tougher, so whey isolate and glucose post-workout are non-negotiable for me."
Q) What does "living the standard" mean to you personally?
A) "We work in fitness and talk daily to people at the end of their rope physically and mentally. If we're not walking the walk ourselves, we have no business giving advice we can't follow. Excuses are easy (I have plenty of valid ones) but that's not who I am or want to be ... especially not for my kids or employees. Living the standard means doing the hard things even when no one's watching."
Q) How has being a part of the S2 Faction influenced your routine & current goals?
A) "I've been with S2 for 17 years, competing in powerlifting, bodybuilding, endurance races, CrossFit ... you name it, I've done it. S2 has always given me the support and motivation to dive into new challenges and attack them full speed."
Q) What's one piece of no-nonsense advice you would give someone looking to embark on this same journey?
A) "Excuses will always be there (some being valid), but who do you want to be? When you look back, will you be proud of the example you set for your kids and how you led your family? You can proactive and attack life, or reactive and let life attack you. Don't let the years slip away, attack life while you can."
Q) What are you training for right now?
A) "Right now, I'm training for longevity, capability, and functionality ... staying strong, athletic, conditioned, and pain-free to tackle hard things like Hyrox-style workouts, tough gym sessions, or showing up stronger as a leader and coach."
Q) What's pushed you or motivated you to tackle this journey? Why are you doing this?
A) "Honestly, a reality check a few years ago ... injuries forced me to rethink my training. The real motivator? If I'm going to lead employees and athletes, I have to live what I preach. It's the long game. Making my habits match my values."
Q) How do you stay consistent with your routine when life gets busy or when situations are less than ideal? How do you deal with the struggles that come with this journey?
A) "I ditched the idea of needing perfect conditions and stopped relying on motivation ... and started focusing on discipline. Working out is non-negotiable, but I'm flexible ... some days it's all-out intense, others it's just a walk. Consistency isn't about going hard every day. It's about never quitting on yourself, even when that voice in your head says otherwise."
Q) What does "living the standard" mean to you personally?
A) "To me, 'living the standard' means doing the right thing when no one's watching ... working out even when it's easier not to, sticking to nutrition even when I crave that cookie. It means holding myself accountable when I slip, admitting it, and getting right back on track with no excuses. It guarantees I become the person I want to be."
Q) How has being a part of the S2 Faction influenced your routine & current goals?
A) "Being part of the S2 Faction has meant everything to me. Before, I lacked the purpose and accountability to become who I wanted to be ... and The S2 Faction Community gave me both. This community pushes me to raise my own bar, knowing others are watching ... and more importantly, learning from me and my actions".
Q) What's your biggest win so far on this journey?
A) "My biggest win is never quitting. Over 11 years, I've dealt with injuries, boredom, long work days, and setbacks ... but I stayed in the game. Shifting my mindset from 'all or nothing' to 'Always Forward' has been the real victory for me."
Q) What's one piece of no-nonsense advice you would give someone looking to embark on this same journey?
A) "Train for who you want to be in 10 years, not just 10 weeks. Fitness is an infinite game ... you don't 'win' it, the goal is to just stay in it. Same with relationships. You don't win them, you stay committed. If your identity is tied to a PR or a certain look, you'll quit when it's gone. Tie it to showing up every day and being the best you can be. That lasts forever."
